NORTH STAFFORD — Maggie Moos ice cream shop in Stafford Marketplace has announced a partnership with INOVA Health System to give ice cream to blood donors. The store will be holding a blood drive on Sept. 1, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The first 75 donors will receive a free pint of ice cream for a pint of blood donated. The shop says all who attempt to donate will receive a $10 gas card from INOVA Blood Donor Services. Organizers of the blood drive also encourage residents to bring new and used DVD movies to donate to U.S. service men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan.
