Active-adult community honored with awards

FREDERICKSBURG — Del Webb, a leader in active-adult living, has announced that Celebrate, its Fredericksburg-based active-adult community, has been honored with two Silver Awards from the National Association of Home Builders for outstanding marketing materials.

This annual awards program, known as “The Nationals,” evaluates thousands of communities throughout the nation, and presents the top vote recipients in each category with Silver Awards. Celebrate is now being considered as a finalist for a Gold Award, which would make it the most outstanding finalist in two categories.

Celebrate has been selected a Silver finalist in the categories, “Best Brochure for a Community Priced Under $400,000” and “Best Marketing Campaign for a Green-Built Community.” The community brochure, made of recycled materials and placing an emphasis on nature and green living in its imagery and messaging, reflects well the environmentally-friendly features of the community.

Indeed, this same emphasis plays throughout all of Celebrate’s marketing materials, including the state-of-the-art Green Built Performance Center, which helped Celebrate earn the Silver Award for “Best Marketing Campaign for a Green-Built Community.”

The Nationals awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 20, 2009 in Las Vegas, where the Gold winners will be announced.
