Expect new ride at King’s Dominion
DOSWELL — Kings Dominion’s new thrill ride, Intimidator 305, was named for one of NASCAR’s racing legends, Dale Earnhardt. It will be North America’s second Giga-coaster, or roller coaster with the first drop at least 300 feet in the air, resulting in train speeds of 94 mph. This coaster is going to be 5,100 feet in length, and will take more than three minutes to ride.
Kings Dominion plans to open this ride in Spring 2010. Fans who can’t wait that long can take a virtual ride online at Intimidator305.com.
