Stafford County lies in the northwest region of Virginia’s 28th Senatorial District. The area also includes portions of Prince William and Fauquier counties, and a portion of the City of Fredericksburg, all which border Stafford County.

Bill Howell, 65, serves as House Speaker of the General Assembly, as it meets annually at the State Capitol in Richmond.
