He was the beloved husband of Katherine Boyd.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; two daughters, Krista, and Alexis; and two grandchildren.

Richard William "Richie" Carpenter III, 26, of King George County, died Friday, April 10, 2009.
Survivors include his wife Hollie G. Carpenter; two children, Haeley Carpenter and Richard Carpenter IV; his mother, Jackie K. Carpenter; two sisters, Karen Weimer of Ruther Glen, and Melissa Berner of Ruther Glen; maternal grandparents, Patricia and James Lepore of Stafford County; his father and mother in-law, Abraham and Glenda Kulynych, of King George; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral was held April 14 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with interment following in Historyland Memorial Park, King George County.

Ricky Carpenter
Richard William "Ricky" Carpenter Jr., 57, of Colonial Beach, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital, as a result of an automobile accident in King George County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Peggy Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Jackie K. Carpenter; two daughters, Karen Weimer and Melissa Berner, both of Ruther Glen; a daughter-in-law, Hollie Carpenter; three sisters, Shelly Campbel of Falmouth, Sandy Covington of Spencer, New York, and Tina Phillips of Falmouth; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held April 14, 2009 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with interment following in Historyland Memorial Park in King George County.

Linda Mae Davis-Keene
Linda Mae Davis-Keene, 62, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, April 6, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Keene.
Survivors include her son, John Mullins of Stafford; her daughter, Deborah Riley of North Carolina; her step-children, Samantha Keene of Lake Anna and Daniel Keene of Fredericksburg; siblings, Virginia Pierce, Ruth Harley, Peggy Payne, Barbara Shifflett-Tajaros, Nellie Strickland and Robert, Michael and Douglas Shifflett; her half-brother, James Humphrey; six grandchildren; great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held April 9 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with interment following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Francis M. Embrey, 86, formerly of Stafford, died Friday, April 10, 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn S. Embrey; three sons, Wayne Embrey, Gary Embrey, and Dennis Embrey; three brothers, Elwood Embrey, Albert Embrey, and Gordon Embrey; one sister, Helen Flack; 6 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Mark Joseph Little (Joey), 55, of Stafford, died Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Survivors include his mother, Dotty Little of Fredericksburg: siblings, Paula Little Zerbe of Fredericksburg, Andy Little of Roanoke, Jennifer Little of Fredericksburg, and Patrick Little of Alexandria; his parents-in-law, Mike and Sue Gregory of Mount Vision, New York; and several nieces and nephews.

Martin P. Mellett, 80, of Stafford County died Monday March 9, 2009, at his residence.
Survivors include his daughter, Meg Furman; three grandchildren; two great-grand children; a sister, Kathleen Evans; his former wife, Mary Dade; and several nieces and nephews.

Webster Charles Roberts
Webster Charles Roberts, 90, of Falls Run died Monday, March 16, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne E. Roberts; and a daughter, Betty Deane Stetson.
Survivors include his son, William C. Roberts of Annandale; a sister, Jeanne Flegel of Ithaca, Michigan; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 16 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will be private.

Judith Louise Stillson Surles, 64, of Stafford County, died April 12, 2009, at her home after surviving cancer for 22 years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Terry Stillson.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jerry Surles, four children. Philip Surles, Donna Rhody, Michelle Wentz, and Chris Surles; nine grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Stillson; two sisters, Priscilla Putnam and Diane McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth Hazel Musselman Wine
Ruth Hazel Musselman Wine, 79, a lifetime resident of Stafford County, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Hughes Nursing Home in Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Sam W. Wine Jr.; two sisters, Beatrice Smith and Betty Lafollette; and one brother, John Musselman.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon McCauley of Chester and Wanda Boutchyard of Stafford, one son, Josh Wine of Stafford; one granddaughter; and one grandson; two sisters, Rachel Rodgers of Stafford and Shelva Young of Spotsylvania County; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held April 11 at Ramoth Baptist Church, with interment following in the church cemetery.

Carley Mae Zimmerman
Carley Mae Zimmerman, 73, of Spotsylvania, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was the wife of Waynard Zimmerman.
Carley was born on February 12, 1935 in Renick, West Virginia.
She was the oldest daughter of the late Ronald G. Huffman and Emiley A. Henson Huffman. Carley was a member of the Age of Grace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol D. Redden.
Survivors include her husband, Waynard; her children, Carol A. Britt of Partlow, Kathy J. Jordan of Stafford, Galen B. Williams Jr. of Partlow, Charles A. Williams of Partlow, and Waynard L. Zimmerman Jr. of Partlow; her two sisters, Carlos Bishop of Oak Hill, and Carlond Zimmerman of Partlow; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
