James Loman Mooney
James Loman Mooney, 87, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Mooney.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lorraine A. "Pat" Mooney; son, John Edward Mooney of Stafford County; three grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie "Margie" Elam.

A funeral service was held at June 13 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, and interment will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Arlington National Cemetery with full honors.

Memorials may be made to the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, 1600 S Joyce A1031, Arlington, VA 22202.

Janis F. Mullins
Janis F. Mullins, 59, of Clintwood, Virginia died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Survivors include her husband, Lenton Kyle Mullins of Clintwood; mother, Betty J. Freear of Fredericksburg; daughter, Kimberly Ann Mullins of Clintwood; brother, Jerry Freear of Nokesville; sister, Pam Voit of Spotsylvania County; and a nephew.

Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, handled arrangements.

A graveside service was held June 11 in Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Clarice Virginia Watson
Clarice Virginia Watson, 91, of Spotsylvania, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Richard Watson; her son Max B. Watson; her grandson Richard Glenn Hitt; her brother George W. Raines; and her son-in-law Graham “Pete” Johnson.

Survivors include her son Dickie Watson of Spotsylvania; her daughters, Nancy Hitt of Spotsylvania, Janet Sullivan, Shirley Bullock, Ann Sullivan and Mary Johnson, all of Stafford; her sisters, Nelsie Saunders of Richmond and Mary Kacak of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with interment following in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stafford.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 South Point Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

Mary Virginia Watson
Mary Virginia Watson, 59, of Spotsylvania, died June 11, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry F. Middlebrook; and a granddaughter, Kortney Tierra Dodson.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Max, two daughters, Sandra A. Lockard of Hartwood and Melissa D. Dodson of Spotsylvania, two brothers, Clarence Jeffries of Warrenton and Davis Lee Jeffries of Orange; a sister, Martha A. Furr of Quantico; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, Falmouth VA 22406.
