William Joseph Curtis
William Joseph Curtis II, 18, of Stafford, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Survivors include his parents, David Curtis of Stafford and Carolyn Curtis of Orlando, Fla.; his sister, Stephanie Curtis; his paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Curtis of Wiscasset, Maine; and his maternal grandmother, Yoshiko Zamami of Okinawa, Japan.

A funeral service was held June 21 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel, Stafford, with interment on July 16 in Arlington National Cemetery.

Elmon M. Henderson
Elmon M. Henderson, 90, of Stafford County died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie G. Henderson; a son, Craig Henderson; and a great-grandson, Scott Hicks.

Survivors include his son, John Wayne Henderson of Tappahannock; two daughters, Edie Shiflett of Fredericksburg and Anne H. Shelton of Stafford; a brother, Charles L. Henderson of Stafford; a sister, Lois H. Cox of Silver Spring, Md.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at June 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with interment following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Medi Home Health & Hospice, 3302 Bourbon St., # 2, Fredericksburg, VA 22408-7311.

Lou Verne Sullivan
Lou Verne Sullivan, 57, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Edna Haynes; and by a sister, Katherine Beasley.

Survivors include her husband, Danny K. Sullivan; a son, Frank Sullivan of Glen Allen; a daughter, Deena Sullivan-Nelms of Hartwood; two brothers, James E. Haynes of Stafford County and George T. Haynes of Maryland; a sister, Gail Arrington of Spotsylvania County; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held June 20 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with entombment following in Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave, Locust Grove, VA 22508.
