Helen Baker Lewis
Helen Baker Lewis, 86, of Stafford County, died Monday, March 2, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis; her parents, Robert and Lucy Baker; and her two brothers, Robert and William Baker.
Survivors include her four children, Nancy L. Barnes of Stafford County, Curtis C. Lewis of Stafford County, Betty E. Winslow of Edenton, North Carolina, and Russell E. Lewis of Stafford County; her sister, Marian B. Musante of Stafford County; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held March 6 at Aquia Episcopal Church, with interment following in the church cemetery.
Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford, handled the arrangements.
Franklin D. Berry
Franklin D. Berry, 75, of Falmouth died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Virginia Berry.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a son, Steve; a brother, Harrison of Falmouth; two sisters, Anne Jones, of Fredericksburg; a sister, Jeanette Flippo of Kennewick, Washington; and a cousin, June Castro of Fredericksburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service at Falmouth Cemetery was held March 9.

Catherine Brown
Catherine Brown, 73, of Stafford, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Greenfield Assisted Living in Stafford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Roland Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Brown of Stafford; a sister, June Green of Spotsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., March 12 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with interment following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bill Carper
William E. "Bill" Carper, 74, of Hartwood, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Carper; his sons, Gary W. Carper of Mount Vernon and David A. Carper of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
Christopher D. Dean
Christopher D. Dean, 52, died Feb. 21, 2009 in Richmond, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia M. Sager-Dean; four daughters, Amanda, Gwen, Michelle, and Samantha; three grandsons; two granddaughters; his mother; his brother; his six sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Feb. 24 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel.

Charles "Chuck" S. Irwin, 83, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Irwin and Florence Selders Irwin.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret "Peggy" Shannon Irwin; five children, Judith Cummens of Elgin, Illinois, Michael S. Irwin of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Kenneth L. Irwin of Stafford, Virginia, Jeffrey E. Irwin of Tucson, Arizona, and Christopher C. Irwin of Downers Grove, Illinois; a brother, Robert L. Irwin; and two sisters, Mary Ann Gray of Indianapolis and Patricia Broshears of Noblesville, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held March 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford, with interment following in Stafford Memorial Park.

Jeffrey Ryan Lott
Jeffrey Ryan Lott, 37, of Stafford, Virginia died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in a car accident.
Survivors include his wife, Courtney; his children, Ryan Lewis and Carolina Rose, both of Stafford; his mother, Rosalyn Lott of Nitro, West Virginia; and his father and stepmother, David and Allene Lott of Chester.
A memorial service was held March 8 at Brandermill Church, 4500 Millridge Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23112.

Survivors include four children, Judy Fines of Spotsylvania; John S. "Sonny" Shelton Jr. of Danville, Becky Croom of Falmouth, and Martin Shelton of Falmouth; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Berry of Falmouth; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend and caregiver, Margaret Beverly of Falmouth.

Elizabeth Ann Ward
Elizabeth Ann Ward, 50, of Stafford, died Monday, March 9, 2009 after a five-year battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, William H. Page; and her brother, Billy Page.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Steven D. Ward; her mother, Shirley T. Page of Virginia Beach; daughters Jennifer Wigginton and Casie; two sons, Steven and Bailey; three grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Beck of Gamialiel, Arizona, Teresa Boyd of Chesapeake, Gerri Newsom of Norfolk, and Rhonda Eason of Camden, North Carolina; and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.
A funeral liturgy will take place at 1 p.m., March 12, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at noon and a luncheon will immediately follow. Inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
