Gertrude Henrietta Harrell Edwards, 97, of Stafford County, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Theodore and Ethel Blanche Harrell; her husband of 49 years, William Henry Edwards; a daughter, Annette Rae Wandrick; four sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Gretchen Lee Meadows; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Robert Leroy Eveland III
Robert Leroy Eveland III, 35, of Stafford County, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at his residence.
Survivors include his parents, Robert Leroy Eveland Jr. and Kathy Eveland; a sister, Virginia Davio of Manassas; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family in Illinois.
Covenant Funeral Service in Stafford handled arrangements. Interment will be at a later date.

Steven Craig Kurz
Steven Craig Kurz, 51, of Stafford County, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna; his parents, Charles and Joyce Kurz of Falmouth; his sister, Charlene Wright of Stafford; two uncles, Michael Kurz of Falmouth and Wendell Suthard of Stafford; three aunts, Frances Cloe of Richmond, Ann Bender of Pennsylvania, and Nancy Winkler of Stafford; and six nephews.
A funeral was held Jan. 8 at Covenant Funeral Service in Stafford with interment following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ernest O. Miller
Ernest O. Miller, 66, of Stafford County, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Lawrence and Edith Miller; and two brothers, Rodney and Herman Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Miller; two daughters, Sherrie Stanfield of Stafford, and Janean Brown of Illinois; a brother, Keith Miller of Douglasville, Ga.; two sisters, Lena Johnson of Stafford and Carol Gilliland of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service was held Jan. 10 at Covenant Funeral Service in Stafford with interment in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, W.Va.

Debra A. Jennings Perry
Debra A. Jennings Perry, 56, of Fredericksburg died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at her home.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Perry, Jr.; her children, Jimmy Joe J. Perry and his wife, Rebecca, Jesse J. Perry and Heather D. Perry; her mother, Dolores Jennings; her sister, Linda K. Jennings; and six grandchildren, Justice A. Perry, Taylor D. Perry, Kevin M. Buccino, Layla M. Perry, and Connor J. Perry. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph W. Jennings; and two brothers, Joseph W. Jennings, Jr. and David A. Jennings.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. at the Horizons Church, 12 Flatford Road, Stafford, VA 22554, by Rev. Rich Pennington. A small reception will be held at the Church directly after the Service. Directions to Horizons Church can be located at horizonchurch.com. Interment will be private.

Elizabeth Jenean Purvis
Elizabeth Jenean Purvis, 81, of Stafford County, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at Bowling Green Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle Franklin Purvis.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Purvis of Stafford; her daughters, Kathleen Lynette Purvis of Stafford, Gail Jenean Rodman of Crownsville, Md. and Rebecca Sue Evans of Fredericksburg; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 13 at Covenant Funeral Service in Stafford with interment at noon on Jan. 14 in Alberene Cemetery in Charlottesville, Va.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ashley Nicole Shackelford
Ashley Nicole Shackelford, 21, of Orange County, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joyce Rogers Shackelford.
Survivors include her grandmothers, Joyce Rogers and Lizzie Shackelford; aunts and uncles, Clarence Rogers, Becky Mullins, Lisa Rose, Mike, Denny Shackelford, James Shackelford, Annie Mullins, Georgia Davidson, Howard, Stanley Shackelford, and Sissy O’Shea; and several beloved cousins.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Covenant Funeral Service in Stafford. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 13 at Covenant Funeral Service in Fredericksburg.
