Mary E. Brown
Mary E. Brown, 91, of Stafford, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Stafford Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Johnson.
Survivors include her children, Edward Brown Jr., Betty Washington, Lewie Brown and Clifton Brown; two sisters, Elizabeth Berryman and Sylvia Williams; four brothers, Jesse, Freddie, James and Thomas Johnson; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.
The family received friends Jan. 25 at Shiloh Old Site Baptist Church at 1877 Garrison Road, Stafford, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 26.
Frances Latreille Buhrdorf
Frances Latreille Buhrdorf 80 of Stafford County died peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Hospice Unit of Mary Washington Hospital after a courageous ten year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born Frances Maria Latreille on February 24, 1931 in Greenwich Connecticut, she spent her childhood in several locations including Rochester, New York and Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1952 with a degree in Mathematics. After school she worked as an engineer for several companies in the Baltimore area including Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and Glenn L....
Frances Latreille Buhrdorf, 80, of Stafford County, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at the Hospice Unit of Mary Washington Hospital after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Latreille; her mother, Maria Chadwick; her stepfather, Dr. Leigh Chadwick; and brothers, Frederick G. Latreille Jr. and Pierre Latreille.
Survivors include her husband, Gunter of Stafford; son Kevin of Christiansburg; daughter Karen Momorella of Hillsboro, N.H.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was celebrated at St. William of York Catholic Church on Jan. 23 with interment following at Quantico National Cemetery.
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Stafford handled the arrangements.

Dorothy Wharton Dickerson
Dorothy Wharton Dickerson, 92, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Truslow and Betty Raines.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Amos Nathaniel Dickerson; two children, Robert Dickerson and Peggy LaMack , both of Richmond; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
A graveside service was held Jan. 23 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Brian Michael Curtis Lee
Brian Michael Curtis Lee, 23, of Fredericksburg, died Jan. 14, 2012, at his family home.
Survivors include his father, Thomas Lee, stepmother, Pauline; mother, Donna Ellar and; sister, Kristin Lee; and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, stepsisters and stepbrother.
A service was held Jan. 21 at Covenant Funeral Service in Fredericksburg. Interment was private.
Ella L. Hicks
Ella L. Hicks, 89, of Stafford County died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at her residence.
Arrangements are incomplete. A.L. Bennett and Sons Funerals Service is handling the arrangements, which were incomplete at press time.
Rudi Raddatz
Rudi Raddatz, 83, of Stafford, died Jan. 14, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marga; a daughter, Rita Raddatz of Wayne, Pa.; a son, Norb Raddatz; four grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Services for Rudi will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in Rudi’s name to ‘Meals on Wheels’ 605 Galveston Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
