Editor’s Note: Sent to the editor, the following is written as an open letter to Stafford County Supervisor Paul Milde:
Mr. Milde — a good friend of mine explained the problem you are having with folks attacking your position on BPOL, in just four basic words and quite well I might add— “You can’t fix stupid.”
“You” listened to those who voted you into office to serve as a representative of their wishes as our founding fathers envisioned — you understand the problem BPOL creates “as a business owner” which they are not and the ultimate effect the piling on of taxes does to our County growth model as we try diligently to attract significant businesses to the Stafford area.
I stand behind you and your BPOL position along with Mr. Dudenhefer as elected officials 110 percent and I applaud both of you for having the guts to take a proactive political stand in our Country which seems bent on forcing politically correctness down our collective throats — Job Well Done Sir!
I have but one regret and that is not having either of you gentlemen as my supervisor representing my expressed wishes even aftr my personal presentation to the board on the BPOL tax and as a Stafford County resident and businessman.
I may actually consider running against Mr. Crisp in the next elections having been duly inspired by your actions as a fellow Republican, since we are both obviously on the same page with regard to supporting the hard decisions that need to be made for our County and not “taxing our way to the solution”, as the Democrats are locally and nationally systematically proving is their solution to any budget problem.
You have my permission Mr. Milde to forward this statement and e-mail along to anyone, as you determine necessary.
