Imagine you’re Russian, and a VP candidate has just been nominated. You’re in Russia, where every missile not within your borders is pointed at you — Russia, which is either surrounded by Islamic extremist nations, or nations eager to form alliances with NATO. So this VP candidate turns out to be mildly charming but a lightweight. She can’t name key industries, can’t seem to get her facts straight. Power brokers appear on the news to assure the public that “It doesn’t matter if she can’t answer every question” and “She doesn’t have to pass an IQ test.”
But you’re imagining America’s world leaders grinning across the Atlantic Ocean at you, disagreeing only on how they would go about limiting your power. So you’re thinking, yes, an I.Q. test is not a bad thing, actually. After all, you’re Russian, and you know a little bit about living in a dangerous world, something the Yanks across the ocean with their tanked economy are just figuring out. So you look at this woman, whom your party leaders seem eager to place within a heartbeat of leading your country. And you know one thing, that if this dizzy chick comes to power, everything you hold dear will be gone in a few months.

This year has been the first time that I have been to the State Fair of Virginia. Too bad it was raining and cold. I would like to say that even if it was raining and fall weather kicked in I still enjoyed the fun, different farm animals: goats, sheep, chickens, etc., the atmosphere and of course, the State Fair food.
I was volunteering my time at the agricultural building, keeping up with my credit hours to become a master gardener in Virginia. I learned a lot about the different types of plants and trees in our state and the ways to keep up with landscape and gardening information.
I liked the fact that there was a giant pumpkin that weighed over 1,000 lbs. This shows the great agriculture that can be created in the state of Virginia. I am looking forward to next year when the State Fair will be in Caroline County. The fair will be closer to where I live and I will be able to visit more often. There is nothing like a day at the state fair— fun, creative and imaginative!
