Rob Wittman gets support

With the presidential election dominating the headlines it is easy to forget that we are also casting votes for our Congressional representative. The media is so consumed these days with the battle between the extreme left and extreme right that citizens may overlook the fact that there are actually elected representatives who shun the spotlight and focus instead on their constituents regardless of party affiliation. Rob Wittman is one such person.

Anyone who has met Congressman Wittman in person knows that he possesses a laser-focus on the issues of his country, his state, and the people who put him into office. He is one of the rare leaders who actually votes his conscience and lets the cards fall where they may.

As an Iraq veteran and Marine Corps officer of 17 years, I am pleased that my congressional representative is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. This is not a position that is typically given to a newly elected congressman. Congressman Wittman not only earned a coveted spot on this committee, he uses it daily for the betterment of our country, our Armed Forces and all of us within the 1st Congressional District.

As a leader, Congressman Wittman puts politics aside and gets the job done. I urge voters to cast their ballot for Congressman Rob Wittman this November.
