Rob Wittman man for job
Thank goodness we have Rob Wittman representing America’s First Congressional District in Washington. As a former councilman, mayor and state delegate, Congressman Wittman knows how to maintain his core principles while reaching across the aisle to bring common sense solutions to the challenges facing our nation.
In these tough economic times, Congressman Wittman believes that the best way to improve our nation’s financial health is to provide tax relief to working Americans, to incentivize job growth and to control government spending.
He supports a comprehensive U.S. energy policy and is a strong proponent of the “all of the above” approach to reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil. To increase the amount of money for our region’s congested roads, Rob Wittman introduced the Responsible Highway Investment Act. He is also working to achieve greater fairness in the funding Virginia and the First District receive annually for our transportation network. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Wittman put our troops first by ensuring that they get the funding and equipment they need to fight the ongoing war on terror and the care they need at home.
Our U.S. Representative is also an advocate for conservation and environmental stewardship. As a member of the House Committee on Natural Resources, he introduced the Chesapeake Bay Accountability and Recovery Act to further reduce sediments and other pollutants in the Bay and he authored the Solid Waste Interstate Transportation Act to give localities the ability to regulate and control the amount of trash imported into our landfills from outside Virginia.
Rob Wittman is working hard on the people’s business. I urge voters throughout the First District to vote for Rob Wittman on November 4th.
