The new Stafford Hospital “ state of the art medical facility”, being built on U.S.1 has a new chief to help guide the facility. Cathleen Yablonski is ready for the hospital to open and has been preparing, making plans and hiring people to help make this a working and functional medical facility. Ms. Yablonkski has a great background in hospital administration and operations. One example: She was at Buffalo Hospital in New York where she had improved the performance by 50 percent. Welcome, Ms. Cathleen Yablonski.
And, thanks to the Stafford Fire and Rescue Department for participating in the “Fill the Boot” campaign held over Labor Day weekend. The funds are for the devastating and crippling disease muscular dystrophy, a neuromuscular disease.
Most of us have been touched by somebody having this disease, if not another type of neuromuscular illness. Participating in the charity fund will hopefully build roots to help build the self-confidence of a child or an adult having them think, feel and most important of all, hope that there is an answer to stopping this illness. Someday in the near future our prayers hopefully will be answered, have faith.
Where there is a will there is the strength and the self-confidence to carry on. It takes one to be a hero to get through this, be strong, and be proud to hold your head high. We are survivors!
