STAFFORD — The design of a new terminal at Stafford Regional Airport was discussed at a meeting of the Stafford Regional Airport Authority on Tuesday.
The design had been discussed at an August meeting, where two separate designs were presented. One featured a flat roof and another curved one. Both reflected a modern feel.
Also discussed under facility improvements was an extension of a runway, proposed for safety reasons, according to the authority.
However, at least one area resident has charged that the extension is a move to enable the facility to handle larger, heavier aircraft. The resident has distributed fliers regarding the matter.
The authority resolved to write a letter to a local newspaper to refute the claim.
The Stafford Regional Airport Authority holds monthly board meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, at 8:30 a.m., in the airport terminal’s conference room.
