» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO — Marine Corps Base Quantico is scheduled to host its 25th annual Independence Day celebration at Lunga Park on Saturday.

Festivities including live entertainment, carnival rides and boating activities are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and will conclude at 9:15 p.m. with a fireworks display.

The event is open to the public, but as space is limited, the gate will close once maximum capacity is reached. Drivers will be required to show a valid picture ID to be allowed through the gates.

Personal fireworks are not authorized. Pets are discouraged, but if brought, they must be kept on a leash at all times. Certain breeds of dog which may present an unreasonable risk, such as mixed breeds of pit bull are not permitted aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico.
