Woman reports sexual assault
STAFFORD — Stafford County deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Vista Woods neighborhood in Stafford, shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim, a female, reported that her assailant entered her residence through an unlocked sliding glass door, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. She described him as a 25- to 30-year-old possibly biracial man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing about 230 pounds.
Local residents are reminded to continue to maintain safe practices at home including locking exterior doors and turning on outside lights at night.

Soccer players cited for trespassing
STAFFORD — Twenty-one summonses for trespassing were issued to individuals using soccer fields without permission at Mountain View High School on the morning of June 7, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

The group was playing soccer, and had a group or spectators with them.

High School fields cannot be used without prior authorization from the school.

Police arrest five for fighting
STAFFORD — Five people were arrested for fighting at Austin Run townhouses on the evening of June 7, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Trecomey Logan, 26, and Andre Hogan, 30, both of Wayside Court, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

Three juveniles, ages 15, 16, and 17, were arrested and charged, also.

New Jersey men attempt to flee in stolen car
FALMOUTH — Two New Jersey men were arrested after attempting to elude a deputy and a Virginia state trooper at about 9 p.m. on June 1, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office received reports that a black BMW convertible was traveling recklessly on Interstate 95, weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating and speeding. A Stafford deputy clocked the driver at speeds of as much as 90 mph.

The driver was stopped, but took off again after his information did not check out.
Both the driver and passenger exited the car and fled, police said.

The car, valued at $93,000, was found to be stolen from Newark, N.J. The driver, James Lee, 47, had given a fictitious name and social security record.

He was arrested on multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, felony hit and run and felony eluding. The passenger, Almuhad Stokes, 22, was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle, and altering a VIN.

Both were incarcerated without bond.
