Youth minister arrested for sex with teen out on bond

STAFFORD — A female youth minister indicted for a sex crime against a minor Sept. 8 turned herself in to the Magistrate’s Office on Sept. 11 and was released on a $50,000 bond, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Jennifer Michelle Brennan, 36, of Spotsylvania, is accused of having improper relations with a 15-year-old boy she was counseling at St. Matthias United Methodist Church in Stafford.

She is charged with 10 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She has been placed on administrative leave at the church.
