Homeowner reports robbery to police
STAFFORD — The resident of a home at St. Eclair Court in Stafford returned home from vacation on July 14 to find his house burglarized, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The family left the area July 4. Upon returning home he found a jewelry box and dresser drawers open. Items missing were iPods, digital cameras, video and computer games and jewelry, according to sheriff's office spokesman Bill Kennedy.

Copper burglarized from house
STAFFORD — Construction workers from two different companies found a wealth of copper wiring taken from houses on Maple Wood Drive in the Poplar Hill subdivision in Stafford, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Thirty-two rolls of already installed wiring valued at about $13,000 were taken from a home during the night of July 12-13, police said.

Police: Two rob Courthouse Road Exxon
STAFFORD — Police are looking for two men who robbed the Courthouse Road Exxon station July 7 at about 6:30 p.m.
Both are black men, and the two are believed to be driving a tractor-trailer, possibly with a "Farm Fresh" logo, according to the sheriff’s office.
If a member of the public provides information to the police, the person does not need to submit his or her name, only information. Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward up to $1,000.

Shoplifting spree ends in arrests
FREDERICKSBURG — Four people were arrested following a shoplifting spree at Spotsylvania Towne Center and Central Park on Sunday, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.
A loss prevention specialist at Target reported them and detained one of them. The other three were apprehended later at nearby Noodles and Company in Central Park.
Merchandise from Target, Old Navy, and Spotsylvania Towne Center stores was recovered.
Jerod Scott, 20, and Shadea Jackson, 18, both of Charlottesville, were charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting, felony shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Scott was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $6,500 bond and Jackson on a $4,000 bond.
The remaining two were juvenile girls who were turned over to their parents.

Cars vandalized at Custom Design
BEREA — Someone drilled out door locks on two cars parked overnight at Custom Design on Warrenton Road in an apparent attempt to enter them, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office on July 12.

The cars were parked at about 6:30 p.m. Discovery of the vandalism came the next morning about 7 a.m., police said.

Gunman robs Domino's
GARRISONVILLE — A masked gunman robbed the Domino's Pizza at 2606 Jefferson Davis Highway early Monday morning, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
He is described as either Hispanic or black, wearing a black hat, a hoodie-style jacket, khaki cargo shorts, white tennis shoes with black and silver stripes and a white handkerchief covering the bottom part of his face. He pointed a silver-colored semi-automatic handgun at two employees and demanded money, police said. The employees complied.
The robber left the store and headed north on foot on U.S. 1.
The robbery took place at about 12:55 a.m.

Craig's List buyers victimized
STAFFORD — Two Craig's List robberies occurred in the Red Oak Drive area on Sunday night, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
A man and his wife drove from Ruther Glen in Caroline County to purchase a Play Station 3 game advertised on Craig's List. They met with three men at about 9:15 p.m., according to police.
One man — a light-skinned black man with dreadlocks and acne, wearing plaid shorts and a white shirt went to retrieve the game. He returned with a glass bottle and attempted to hit the buyer in the head with it, according to the victim.
The buyer started to chase him but stopped upon urging from his wife.
Police said another victim was a Dumfries man who traveled with his girlfriend to purchase an iPhone he found on Craig's List. He met three men at nearby St. Peter's Lutheran Church and was assaulted by one of them, he said.
Noticing a police cruiser, he ran toward the deputy near it.
The Dumfries man described three black men — one was 5 feet 8 inches tall with shoulder-length corn rows, wearing plaid shorts and a shirt and a hearing aid. The second was about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a tattoo on his neck, shoulder-length corn rows, and wearing a v-neck shirt. The third was about 6 feet 1 inch tall, abut 235-240 pounds and wearing a black shirt with white print on it, police said.
