STAFFORD — It is with a heavy heart that the Stafford County Sun announces the death of its beloved cartoonist, Frank Lewis, 89.

Lewis, a Stafford County resident and U.S. Army veteran, died late last week of a heart attack, according to his family.

He drew cartoons for the Stafford County Sun and previously for its parent paper, the News & Messenger.
The Sun and News & Messenger staff will deeply miss Lewis, who always had a smile and kind words to share.
Readers and those who knew him are encouraged to share their thoughts or memories about Frank Lewis. Look for a feature story next week on Lewis in the Stafford County Sun.

Send your thoughts to info@staffordcountysun.com.
