Composite sketch released in attempted rape case
STAFFORD — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has released a composite drawing of a man who allegedly assaulted and attempted to rape a woman on Nov. 27 near the England Run library last week.
The victim, a 22-year-old woman, stated that she had been with a friend at the library when she received two calls from an unknown person who wanted to meet her. She declined.
She went to the residence of a friend on nearby Shasta Place. When she left a man with a gun approached her and forced her into a wooded area. He assaulted her, police said, but she fought back.
The victim reported that he tried to choke her and attempted to force himself on her.
She was able to get away, police said.
The suspect is a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with tight hair twists, thick eyebrows and scarring along his cheeks, possibly acne scars.
