STAFFORD — Work is underway to raise funds for an air show in October at Stafford Regional Airport, according to airport manager Ed Wallis.
A monthly meeting of the authority was held Tuesday.
Wallis' goal is to raise money from outside sources and fundraising. With $13,500 for the event, and additional $8,000 is needed, he said.
The airshow is proposed for Oct. 15 and would be combined with the Stafford Rotary Club's annual Wings and Wheels Festival.
In other news, the authority voted unanimously to renew Apex motorcycle driving school's contract.
Prince William County authority member Desi Arnaiz said the school provides an important service by teaching their students how to be safe motorcyclists.
The next meeting of the authority will take place at Stafford Regional Airport on April 12 at 8:30 a.m.
