Stafford County deputies are looking for information in connection with three church burglaries that occurred earlier this week.
Tuesday, January 10, thieves stole a safe that contained an undisclosed amount of gift cards from the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 161 Embrey Mill Road, Garrisonville area, between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., according to Stafford County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Deputies believe the burglar broke a window and an interior door to get into the Ebenezer church.
A flat-screen television, a computer monitor and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen from the North Stafford Church of Christ, 500 Shelton Shop Road, Roseville area, between Jan. 1 and Jan. 3, Kennedy said.
Authorities believe the burglar got into that church through an unlocked door.
A third church, the Ramoth Baptist Church, 478 Ramoth Church Road, Ramoth, was burglarized between late Jan. 3 and early Jan. 4, Kennedy said.
The intruders forced open a window at the church and stole four flat-screen televisions, four computers and a camera.
Stafford County Sheriff Charles Jett said in a news release that his agency is “aggressively investigating” the crimes.
Deputies ask that anyone with information about the thefts call the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-658-4400, call Crime Solvers at 540-659-2020 or Text a Tip by typing 274637 (CRIMES), hit ok and text Stafford and the message.
