STAFFORD — A Stafford County woman was charged Jan. 13 and faces nine grand jury indictments after police accused her of embezzling over $100,000 from a Manassas business last year.
Officers accused Holly Noel Cooke of misappropriating the money after they seized numerous items on July 25 from Cooke’s home at 475 Potomac Run Road in Stafford, according to Manassas police Sgt. Eddie Rivera.
Rivera did not say which business Cook reportedly stole the money from, but he did say that it has since closed.
It is unclear if Cooke was an employee at the business, or how long the alleged crime has been going on.
The grand jury indicted Cooke for embezzlement on Jan. 3, according to police.
Cooke was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Her court date was not available.
