Man startles Stafford woman
ARGYLE HEIGHTS — A Stafford County woman reported seeing a man in the doorway of a storage area at her home after she heard noises coming from beneath the house on Nov. 19, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred during the evening at the home on Sussex Street in Stafford. The woman yelled at the man and he ran toward Federal Drive, according to sheriff’s office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy.
The man is described as white with sandy blond hair pulled back in a pony tail and light-colored eyes. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a black hoodie and black shoes with a red Nike symbol on them, police said.
Jeep stolen from Jefferson Place
FALMOUTH — A car was stolen from the Jefferson Place Townhouses neighborhood between Nov. 18 and 19, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
A woman left her 1995 black Cherokee parked on the 1000 block Thomas Jefferson Place at about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. She noticed it missing at 11 a.m. the next day, police said.
Subdivision, cars vandalized
NORTH STAFFORD — Street signs and cars were vandalized in the Eastern View subdivision of Stafford County between Nov. 18 and19, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
White spray paint was used to paint obscene images, profanity, swastikas and six pointed stars on the various surfaces, according to Bill Kennedy, public information officer for the sheriff’s office.
Items stolen from Cardinal Forest cars
BEREA — Items were stolen from cars in the Cardinal Forest subdivision of Stafford between Nov. 19 and 20, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
One car had a GPS from it, while the car next to it was missing a Sirius radio tuner, police said.
