Candlelight vigil to be held for domestic violence awareness
Published: October 23, 2009
STAFFORD — A candlelight vigil to help bring awareness to domestic violence will be held on the back steps of the Stafford County courthouse Oct. 29.
The vigil will begin at 6 p.m. The courthouse is located at 1300 Courthouse Road in North Stafford.
The Rappahannock Council on Domestic Violence, in coordination with the Stafford County Domestic Violence Response Team, is hosting this 19th annual event.
“The vigil offers a forum for survivors to speak in a safe environment about their experiences, and time will be taken to remember those who have died as a result of domestic violence,” said Stephanie Baldwin, support services coordinator for the RCDV.
