Cadet receives scholarship

Army Reserve Cadet Andrew J. Abramaitys has received an Army ROTC four-year campus-based scholarship at Canisius College, Buffalo, N.Y. The scholarship pays full tuition, a yearly book allowance, and a monthly stipend for juniors and seniors for up to 10 months.

The cadet is required to attend the Leadership Training Course the summer before to fulfill the basic course requirements.  The cadet should be serious about a career as an Army officer and needs to sign a conditional contract with ROTC program officials at the host military academy or junior college.

To be eligible for the scholarship, cadets must meet specific age, academic, educational and physical standard requirements.  If they accept a commission, the cadets incur a military service obligation to serve in the Regular Army, National Guard or Reserve.
