The following students were the top runners, logging the most laps run in the school physical education running program: Kindergarten: Nicholas Woods, MacKenzie Proffitt; 1 grade: Brittney Marble, Parker Wight; 2 grade Ethyn Yates, Mikayla Wight; 3 grade: Nicholas Murphy, Jordan Burzynski; 4 grade: Justin Cherry, Morgan Ocetnik; 5 grade: Jakob Saliceti, Graciela Sejas-Padilla. 5 graders Jessica Jabro, Katey Mooney, Gabriella Murphy, Taylor Pedigo, Andre Saunders, Kimberly Torres, and Blake Woolsey were recognized for having perfect attendance at 5th Grade Recognition Night.
The following 5th graders earned the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence for earning at least a 90% grade point average during 4th grade and the first semester of 5th grade and a minimum of a 550 on their most recent reading or math standardized tests. Students were presented with a certificate and letter signed by President Barack Obama including: Justin Ashby, Tivon Battle, Riana Chan, Travis Collier, Ayla Daniels, Ashley Dougherty, Tanner Givler, Sofia Gomez, Austin Gregory, Claire Haas, Kenneth Harvin, Molly Hawkins, Jenna Jerrell, Brandon Lima, Kathleen Mooney, Gabriela Murphy, Arielle Patterson, John Ramirez, Taylor Pedigo, Lixlia Perez-Planell, Kaelan Rodgers, Jakob Saliceti, Emely Salinas, Megan Sharp, Rachel Valentine, Brittney Vargas and Gregory Wright.

Gladys H. Oberle School graduation
The Gladys H. Oberle School held its graduation celebration for the class of 2009 on Tuesday, June 9. Students Ariel Richardson and Dennis Kochel, both of Stafford County, were the two members of the Senior Class that graduated from the Oberle School.
Following the graduation ceremony, family, friends, fellow students, and school staff enjoyed refreshments and a time of reflection over the past year.
