STAFFORD — Meadowbrook resident Irene Egan, running as an Independent candidate for the Aquia seat on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors, said that key points to her campaign include schools and public safety.

Egan works as a PTA volunteer, is a member of the Stafford County Schools Capitol Improvement Planning Advisory Committee, sits on the Stafford County Crime Solvers Board and is a coach in the Stafford County Soccer League.

She also seeks to focus on protecting the environment, bringing veterans’ services closer to Stafford and better managing residential growth to reduce its strain on schools, public safety and the transportation infrastructure.
