Care for pets in inclement weather

STAFFORD — Stafford County Sheriff’s Animal Control Office wants to remind pet owners to be prepared to provide for their animal’s needs during inclement weather. When preparing for yourselves or your family remember your animals when purchasing food, bottles water and other supplies.

Shelters to open during snowstorm

Stafford County will open two shelters at noon Feb. 5, to assist people in need during the snow storm this weekend. The shelters will be at Stafford High School, 33 Stafford Indian Lane, and North Stafford High School, 839 Garrisonville Road. They will be managed by staff from the Red Cross.
