STAFFORD — Four Brooke Point High School field hockey players signed letters of intent on Feb. 6 to play at their colleges of choice.

Coach Jill Van Hook said in an e-mail to the Stafford County Sun that the team as a whole has worked extremely hard. Van Hook said she is proud that these young ladies will leave Brooke Point with this advancement into their college careers.

Haley McBee, an All-Region player, has signed a letter of intent to attend Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, while Stephanie Cox, Player of the Year in the Commonwealth District and All-Region, intends to attend Radford University in Radford. Both girls received academic and athletic scholarships, according to Van Hook.

Players Morgan Brown and Jessica Paine, an All-District player, also plan to attend Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. They both received partial scholarships in academics and athletics.
